Seven people have been confirmed dead due to floods in Rasuwa. According to Nepal Police, 4 bodies have been found in Nuwakot and 3 in Dhading. Bagmati Province Police Chief DIG Deepak Regmi confirmed the discovery of the bodies. "We have sent two injured people to Kathmandu for treatment," he said.

Bhotekoshi River Flood Devastates Rasuwa: 7 Dead, Dozens Missing

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the risk around the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers remains as per the information received from China at 1:30 pm on Bhadra 10, as the lake has not yet fully opened at the place where the river was blocked. The department has requested everyone to stay away from the river until further notice.

300+ Vehicles Washed Away at Rasuwa Customs Yard, 5 Employees Missing

The flood that hit Rasuwa on Wednesday morning swept away vehicles and other materials at the Rasuwa Customs Office, causing great damage. However, a source in the Ministry of Finance stated that details of the damage have not been received. The customs office had 36 permanent and four contract employees.

19 Bridges, 40km of Roads Damaged; Hydropower Project Workers Trapped

The Department of Roads has stated that at least 19 bridges on the Trishuli river have been damaged due to the flood in Bhotekoshi-Trishuli.

According to Shubharaj Neupane, Deputy Director General and Spokesperson of the Department of Roads, at least 19 bridges on the Trishuli river have been damaged so far. Similarly, he said that at least 40 kilometers of roads have been damaged and the road has collapsed.

According to Neupane, the Road Department has moved forward with the work of improving the condition of roads and bridges by mobilizing heavy equipment and machinery in the damaged area.

More than 25 workers are trapped in the Langtang Hydropower Project tunnel. The workers are trapped in the tunnel of the 20-megawatt hydropower project, informed the company's managing director and IPPAN secretary Bijay Mohan Bhattarai.

According to him, the workers who were working in the tunnel 100 meters above the river surface are trapped. They have not been rescued. Even mobile communication has not been possible.

Nepal Army, Private Helicopters Mobilized for Rescue as WHO Sends Supplies

Rescue, search and relief of those affected by the flood that occurred in Rasuwa on the Bhotekoshi River this morning have been intensified. So far, 12 people have been rescued by Nepal Army helicopters, including 6 from Syafrubesi, 2 from Mailung and 4 from Dhunche.

Nepal Telecom Company Limited has provided free telephone, SMS and internet services to those affected by the flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.

Minister for Information and Communications Dr. Bikram Timilsina had directed to immediately provide free telephone and internet facilities to the flood-affected areas.

Nepal Telecom has provided unlimited voice service, 2 GB data per day and 50 SMS free for two days to the residents of the area, informed Nepal Telecom spokesperson Kamal Lamichhane.

The World Health Organization is sending essential health and relief supplies to the victims of the flood that hit Rasuwa's Bhotekoshi River this morning.

The organization has said that it will send basic medicines and health equipment for 1,000 people after talking to Health and Food Hygiene Minister Nisha Mehta. It is also said that 15 emergency tents of 24 square meters each will be sent to the affected areas.

Government Issues High Alert, 100 Beds Allocated for Injured

Minister for Information and Communications Bikram Timilsina has informed that the sad news has been received that serious damage has been caused in Syafrubesi, Timure and other areas of Rasuwa due to the flood.

The government has directed the concerned security agencies, District Administration Offices, local levels, disaster management agencies and other concerned bodies to adopt high alert, be in a state of rescue and relief readiness and take all necessary steps, the Minister for Communications informed.

The ministry has said that 100 emergency beds have been allocated for the flood victims at Bir Hospital and Trauma Center in Kathmandu. The ministry also said that so far three injured people have been rescued and brought to Kathmandu.

It is also said that coordination is being done with the Federal Hospital in Kathmandu, the Blood Transfusion Center, the Ministries of Health of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, Nepal Red Cross, Lions, and Nepal Scouts for emergency health services.

Six doctors and two nurses have already left for the affected area from the Trauma Center. Five doctors and nine rescue workers from Scouts are preparing to go to the affected area. The Department of Health Services is preparing to send necessary medicines to the affected area for the treatment of the injured.

Rural Municipality Office Affected, Security Team Loses Contact

Due to the flood that came from the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa, most of the hydropower projects in the Uttargaya Rural Municipality of Rasuwa district and houses around the Trishuli River have been affected.

According to Rural Municipality Chairman Madhav Aryal, the project structures in the riverbank area, the rural municipality office and nearby houses have been affected. Although advance warning was received in the area, the flood started to spread within 15 minutes of the warning and the concerned bodies of the central government have been requested for rescue, he said.

Chairman Aryal said that details of human losses have not been received and even the employees who went for advance warning and rescue have lost contact.

Although the border outpost of the Armed Police Force in Timure was secured due to the sudden flood that occurred on the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on Wednesday morning, the police team deployed on duty has lost contact.

Armed Police Force Joint Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa informed that a sudden major flood occurred in Bhotekoshi and it is estimated that the Timure area has suffered major damage. "The BOP in Timure is safe, but contact has not been made with the team deployed on duty," he said.

Joint Spokesperson Thapa informed that efforts are being made to contact the police team in the affected area and understand the situation.
